Dr. Irene Duck
Dr. Duck is proud to carry on a legacy of compassionate, high-quality dental care in Oak Ridge. In May 2025, Dr. Birdwell entrusted the care of his patients and the future of his practice to Dr. Irene Duck, DMD. Dr. Duck brings a fresh perspective rooted in the same values that have long defined this office: kindness, professionalism, and a patient-first approach.
Dr. Duck earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in 2023. She is passionate about providing gentle, high-quality care and helping patients feel at ease during their visits. With training in the latest dental techniques, Dr. Duck enjoys working with patients of all ages — from routine cleanings to more complex restorative work — and takes time to understand each patient’s individual needs and goals. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, painting, and spending time with her husband. She’s proud to serve the Oak Ridge community and looks forward to building long-term relationships with her patients.
Hygienists
Elisa, RDH
Elisa has been with our team since 1986. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of East Tennessee State University’s Dental Hygiene program, she holds a certificate in local anesthetics, administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide, and limited prescriptive authority.
Morgan, RDH
Morgan joined the practice in 2014 after graduating from Roane State’s Dental Hygiene program and earning her Local Anesthetics certification. She is skilled in dental cleaning, periodontal scaling, and seeing new patients.
Dental Assistants
Mary Jane, EFDA
Mary Jane has been with the practice since 2003. She holds certifications in prosthetic and restorative functions, coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and dental radiology.
Trina, EFDA
Trina joined the team in 2008. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and the University of Memphis. She holds certifications in prosthetic and restorative fucntions, nitrous oxide monitoring, and dental radiology
Office Staff
Angela
Angela joined our team in 2000 and manages the front office. She specializes in coordinating insurance, scheduling, and billing. She enjoys working out, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
Tracey
Tracey joined our team in February 2025, bringing over 20 years of experience in dental office operations to our practice. She specializes in coordinating insurance, scheduling, and billing.
